Raj Reddy is an Indian computer scientist. He is an incredibly hard worker, overcoming any challenges that stood in his way. He earned his bachelor's at Guindy Colledge of Engineering, his master's degree at University of New South Wales, and both his master's degree and Doctorate of Computer Science from Stanford University in 1966. He went on to work with AI speech and vocabulary, setting the foundation down for many of our applications today, such as Alexa and Siri. He also contributed to the designing of the "MACH" computer system, used in Apple devices. Another involvement of his was the founding of the Robotic Institute at Carnegie Mellon University. Not only did he found this institute, but he also created similar programs for college students to get a lead on upcoming technology and get a better understanding of where it was heading in the future. He was fondly named by many as the "Father of Indian AI" after all the work and studies he conducted for the development of AI speech and vocabulary.
Raj Reddy Was born on the 13th of July 1937 in Katoor, Andhra Pradesh, India.

Alan Turing

Alan Turing was a fantastically talented and well-rounded man who worked in many areas. Throughout his life, he experimented in different subjects such as mathematics and computer science. In 1931 he went to Cambridge University to study mathematics and three years later, after he graduated, joined the King's Colledge. While there, he was given the honor of being elected to a fellowship because of his studies in probability theory. Then in 1936 he moved to Prinston University to earn a Ph.D. in mathematics, completing this program in 1838. Next during WWII Alan worked to decode the messages of the Germans. He revolutionized war code cracking by using algorithms and computing devices. This led to similar strategies being used in the future which helped our country in numerus ways. Not only did he crack codes, but he also worked with AI. After his war adventures, he decided to explore the concept of a mechanical mind. Through dedication and many studies, he outlined the ideas of AI and even developed an early stage of it. After observing his friends play chess, he decided to make an artificial chess player. Although it can only win against beginner level players, the game is still very impressive for its time. Alan Turing revolutionized artificial intelligence.
Alan Turing was born on June 23, 1912. He died on June 7,1954. Although he was born in London, England, he came to die in Wilmslow, Cheshike.

Gladys West

Gladys West is an exceedingly intelligent woman. Throughout her life, she has been through many years of schooling. She finished high school as a valedictorian and went to Virginia State University, which was known as Virginia State Colledge at the time, and graduated in 1952 with a degree in mathematics. Then she continued her education there by earning her master's degree in the same subject, graduating in 1995. During that time, she showed her passion for mathematics by teaching it to children at a Verginia segregated school. Finally, she earned her master's degree in public administration at the University of Alabama. Some of her other large achievements was her work on GEOSAT, proving that the earth was not a sphere, but rather a geoid. She became a project manager at Seasat, where they proved that satellites were able to capture, and had the capability of observing, oceanographic geography. She determined the movements of Pluto in relation to Neptune using a device she created, the Naval Ordinance Research Calculator. Finally, she played a huge role the developing of our GPS systems, the Global Positioning System.
Gladys West was born on October 27, 1930 in Sutherland, Virginia.
